Green Pool Clean in Melbourne

How we cleaned up this green pool in Melbourne.

This pool hasn’t been green for too long and there isn’t much debris on the floor. The skimmer basket was blocked, restricting the flow of the water through the filtration & chlorination system and therefore causing the pool to go green.

This process is a typical green pool clean-up, and once the pool has been brushed, the chemicals have been added and the filtration system was run for a few days, the water cleared and the dead algae and fine dust settled to the bottom, where it was slowly vacuumed out. This pool hasn’t been green for too long and there wasn’t much debris on the floor but this approach can be copied for all but the worst green pools which might need to be flocc’d instead.

If you have a green pool, you can come into the shop and we would be happy to give you personal advice about your pool, pick up a how-to guide plus the appropriate treatment chemicals and give it a go yourself, or alternatively, contact us to come and clean it up for you!
