Gas Heater + Halo Chlorinator Install
New home owners of an existing pool had a chlorinator which was very old and not functioning.
The client has solar heating but wanted to be able to boost temperature when the sun hasn’t been shining enough to heat the pool effectivly. A gas heater was the perfect solution as it allows them to heat the pool relatively quickly (faster than a heat pump), meaning they can be assured the pool will be warm on the weekend when the grand kids are coming to stay, but the bulk of the spring-autumn heating is taken care of by the solar keeping costs in check.
This is a typical upgrade in Melbourne as the solar heating works very well during the warm months, however, the further into the year, it takes longer to heat the pool. Gas heaters are very effective at heating the pool water, regardless of the weather.
The Halo chlorinator upgrade is much more than just a chlorinator, it is the heart of a full control system. In this instance we connected the heater to the Halo so it can be controlled very simply via the wifi enabled phone app or manually, depending on their preference.
The app gives immediate oversight of the current and set temperatures , as well as allowing them to turn on the pool pump and heater whenever desired and keep track of the heating progress.
